In the spring of 2012 I had the opportunity to learn how to carve a totem pole with Jay Haavik. I ended up carving my own 11 foot totem pole, and this is the story of that pole.
The summer of 2005 I will be Kayaking the Inside Passage of British Columbia, Canada on a Solo trip from Seattle, Washington to Ketchikan, Alaska. The trip should take about two months, staring on July 16 and ending September 16.
Here are some Totem Poles from our drive back from Prince Rupert, BC.

Those would be Skeena River totems. Reminds me of the time Chris was organizing a climbing trip for the Mountaineers Club, and I overheard him on the phone directing someone to the wrong mountain. Once again, I felt that I just HAD to say something!
