In the spring of 2012 I had the opportunity to learn how to carve a totem pole with Jay Haavik. I ended up carving my own 11 foot totem pole, and this is the story of that pole.
The summer of 2005 I will be Kayaking the Inside Passage of British Columbia, Canada on a Solo trip from Seattle, Washington to Ketchikan, Alaska. The trip should take about two months, staring on July 16 and ending September 16.

The Idea - Kayaking the Inside Passage
Years, maybe decades past, someone planted the idea of Kayaking the Inside Passage in my young sponge like mind. Hidden deep in the cobwebs for all those years, till now.
